It's a good complement for a tweeter, setting on 8 kHz. It's bring around 15 or 20% of gain in 0 dB.The sound is clear and also sweet. The higher frequencies are more continuous, on the Onkyo receiver tx rz 3100. I think they can be greater if the manufacturer can work on the surface of sound expansion. I will appreciate if the sound were a little more sweet, like an English speaker style. For rock works fine; jazz a little strident.

It does what a super tweeter should do, produce the highest octaves of sound. You can hear the difference best when you disconnect them, you can tell something is missing. Buy it, it will improve your sound

How many add on Super Tweeters have so many adjustable settings. I purchased the Planar designed Aperion tweeters (2) sets to get my feet wet, and they were so nice, opened the top end of my speakers up beautifully, no harshness, just a fantastic addition, and they look so nice. After a few months I upgraded to this newer, full ribbon design. I would say they are refinement to the mix, but for those of you interested in a super tweeter and don't wish to spend the $600, the planar design is absolutely fantastic. The beauty of this product is not only the frequency roll off settings, but these tweeters offer attenuation settings as well, and these adjustments are so important as everyone owns speakers with different levels of efficiency. Mine are around 87db.Bottom line, if you are searching for a more robust high end which will open up the sound stage of everything you play, the planar design is a great choice, however, if you want the total ultimate in a ribbon super tweeter, spend the extra $300 and go FULL RIBBON, either way, you are going to be a very HAPPY camper, I own both designs and love them both!
