Great for in reach mini
I bought this to use with my inreach mini and it has worked flawlessly. I have seen questions on weather it works with the mini and it totally does. I have used this backpacking with an Osprey atmos 65 as well as a REI Flash 63 and a camelbak day pack. It has worked well on all of them and I am super happy with it. Yes, the velcro sticks to the lanyard but to me that's not a deal breaker and as others have mentioned a piece of paracord is an easy fix. Well worth the money for both ease of use and protection for such an expensive little device.

Does what says. Works great
Does what it Says. Was worried from reviews. But thought I’d try. Best accessory ever. Super secure and accessible.

Wish I'd bought this years ago!
Firs my eTrex 10 and GPSMap 64 perfectly. Used on both my CamelBak and my Gregory Baltoro 75L pack, works great.

Holds
It holds my inReach mini. I think that's what it's meant to do. It doesn't make the plan cheaper or the battery last longer. I don't think that it's meant to do either of those things.

Works with InReach Mini (with Garmin adapter plate), good for attaching to backpacks
This tether works with InReach Mini - as long as you first attach the Garmin mount adapter plate that came with the InReach! All the layers makes the InReach stick out further than I'd like, but it's acceptable. The velcro straps are good for attaching to backpacks or hydration packs, but insufficient to go around your arm. The tether line is not elastic. It won't bounce the InReach into your face, but it's also a bit untidy. The InReach can be pulled off the tether base, so you can manipulate it, then placed back easily. Decent value for the price.

Good (mostly) but way too expensive
The backpack tether is made of good quality materials except for the cord which is cheap & nasty. I replaced it with some quality paracord instead and now it's a lot better. The fit & function is quite good, and I've used it successfully on a backpack and it performs well. It is ridiculously expensive for such a cheap article, it shouldn't cost more than AU$10 for what it is. It probably doesn't cost more than a couple of dollars to manufacture, so someone is getting rich lol.

Same problem with adhesive. Garmin needs to fix this, and replace the bad units.
Although the design of this tether is good, the implementation is poor.I also had the adhesive holding the velcro pad to the backpack side of the unit let go.I also believe it is heat related.Garmin needs to fix this.I can't trust my $500+ GPS unit to this poorly implemented tether.
