Great for home or small events
Used this for a small wedding (150) guests playing dinner music and it worked well. It was plenty loud although if you’re wanting to use it for a DJ set I would recommend getting some subs. For home use, I love the Bluetooth functionality. Works really well to pair it with the phone. Many a karaoke night have been had using this thanks to the mixer on the back. The effects are great and easy to use and the feedback reduction works well.Honestly have no downsides to speak of except that I wouldn’t mind more bass. These things are decent but no comparison to having a true subwoofer obviously.

Solid - Clean Sound - Powerful - Excellent features
Upgraded from a Harbinger "starter PA" from Guitar Center. Nice product but needed more. I've been using this PA steadily for two years. Local gigger. I highly recommend it. Here's why.I play 6 and 12 string acoustic electric guitars and sing. Sometimes with a woman vocalist/guitarist. For much of my work I use backing tracks. The mixer that comes with this PA does a lot, all in one place, easy to use.1] Bluetooth works flawlessly with my laptop computer providing the tracks' backup2] built-in reverb is very flexible - lots/little - sounds good3] 6 inputs accommodate XLR and 1/4" for more flexibility4] monitor sends provide me with real time mix going to house5] plenty of power, more than enough for small or medium size venues6] packs up and sets up easily7] the feedback supressor: set and forget, work very well not perfectEasily add in pedals for additional professional effects. (TC-Helicon Harmony Singer for one)I am very very happy with this PA and it just might be your next upgrade.

Roland V and these speakers can fool most ears from real piano. This is in my Laredo fifth wheel.
I have the same model from about 10 years ago. It was purchased in Potenza, Italy. I think the 50 hrtz and age on capicators got the best of. It. But it was so good I bought the same thing again. I used it probably 40 hours a week.

Probably the BEST small form factor professional speakers on the market
Probably the BEST small form factor professional speakers on the market. Solid clear sound good for most events including weddings & parties. Easy enough to transport.I bought this mixer speaker combo in 2014 & they are still going strong. I have to admit, I am a festival DJ & these speakers are outside a lot. Over the years I’ve exposed the speakers to extreme heat, cold, rain & snow (I live in Michigan). While I have learned to keep any speakers out of direct sunlight when it’s really hot, and these will have some degraded sound if they get too too hot, they recover sound quality quickly if moved into shade, & no permanent damage has been noted. One time I thought I had blown a speaker when in fact it was just a piece of plastic rattling around. Most other DJ’s think the speakers are much bigger then they are. For rave type events adding subwoofers are preferable, though not necessarily needed to be enjoyable. These do have decent bass, especially if indoors.I would say these are on par with Bose sound engineering, as they are definitely a engineered sound, where the amplifier & mixer is one unit & made to be utilized by just these speakers. The amp/mixer itself is actually a real gem. I often will use this mixer to be the main mixer that feeds signal to other amps because it provides such a clean signal. I didn’t understand how important a good mixer is to musical events when I bought these initially. You can have multiple people/instruments/microphones/DJ equipment plugged into this mixer. There is every type of plug you need. The feedback suppression is top notch so you can use a microphone close to the speakers with out that annoying feedback sound. Again this is Yamaha’s top audio engineering at work here. These also make great stage monitors or use one for a monitor & one for main sound. Normally these are always on mono due to the increased sound out of each speaker & for small events one speaker is enough.Closing thoughts: you won’t be disappointed by speakers. These should be the first speakers any professional DJ or musicians arsenal.

Decent system for small to medium venues
Since I was upgrading from a StagePas 300 (half the power) it is giving the extra power that I needed so I didn't have to turn up the old to full volume and still not cut it. And the speakers can handle the low notes of a synthesizer with the new one without risk of damage. I added a plug in to a bass amp with subwoofer output and that helps to balance it even more. My only pickiness is that it is not as crystal clear as I would like (a bit of distortion but I don't expect any of these lesser priced systems, in general, to perform like the systems of the old days that had monster speaker systems and powerful amps with advanced mixers and EQ. Etc. But for the money, it's very good.
