This amp is all around great, I'm running two kicker comp 12's plus a kicker comp 15 all in my own custom made sealed enclosure. I locally install audio equipment in vehicles and this amp is great for the price, I highly recommend it for speakers or subwoofers. This amp will not handle a two ohm load if it's bridged so if you want all the power you can get per channel run a 4ohm speaker or sub and you will not be disappointed with this product. Also, I've found that the wire connectors to the amp seem to make it loose some power (the "gold plated" connectors that come in the kit are cheap) so I personally just clamp all the wires to the amp directly and have had zero problems with this amp. if you've been pushing it hard for a while try to avoid touching the amp because it will be hot. I wouldn't consider this a fire risk however because a box can take heat a lot better than your skin. If the amp gets too hot or tries to pull more than it can handle it goes into the protection mode, I have never popped a fuse in the amp so the protection mode is just another nice plus. I have a Chevy Silverado truck with limited space under the rear seat. The BOSS R2504 AMP sit in the spot between my speakers perfect. This AMP is better than I could have hoped for with a full range of sound coming from my MTX speakers. I would recommend this AMP to anyone wanting a great sound with a good price. The BOSS R2504 is now the AMP I will use in all my cars now! ! !

I have 3 decades of car stereo experience and am a sound engineer by profession. This amp is Clean looking, very well built, MOSFET class A/B amplifier. It has TRUE power and NOT that of a cheap, thin sounding class D amplifier that has fake specs. Great control of input levels, crossover adjustments and High/low pass filters. Clean sound with barely any audible hiss, which is negotiable as you have to have your ear glued to the tweeter to hear. The blue lighted "Boss" is kind of cool, but is a bit much for me.Overall, I would definitely recommend this amp to the person wanting a solid, mid-high power amp to put their car stereo to the next level. Keep in mind, the system is only as good as it's weakest link, which can make great equipment sound bad. A higher end head unit is recommended with this amp and even a parametric equalizer in the mix to tune your system to your car's acoustic environment.I give this amp a 9 out of 10.Read full review...

works well and sounds good, well worth the money

I was expecting a little more based on the reviews I read but I'm pleased and it does the job I was disappointed that the amp tripped to protect mode when on a bridged setting but works perfectly not bridged so no worries

An amplifier which is inexpensive but puts out quality sound. It has options which most expensive amplifiers offer, also I have not used the amp for its full potential yet but so far great sound.It is compact and light, and easily installs under the seat.

Works fine. Stated power ratings are not right however. Also, gets very hot. Decent budget amp. If I could rewind I would have gone with a SSL amp. Cheap and good quality. Gave Boss a shot, but won't buy again.

Tutorial vague for a first time amp owners, need to be more instructions on basic set up.Other than set them at lower setting adjust as needed. the amp input level control Is plugged it in I don't see it do any thing with my setup, instruction say to match output,and don't use it as a volume control? I m using it with 2 9" 2 ohm subs, I have adjusted sub output from my radio to lowest level and the amp controls to 1/4 setting to keep the amp from error out, so the output from the subs is low.
