Good enough that I'd buy it again if necessary

I currently own 4 Volvos and having recently purchased a 2018 V60 I could no longer count on my bootleg copy of Volvo's Vida/Dice which stops at 2014. This is so much easier and faster to use that it's become my go-to for the older cars as well. It's not a thousand dollar tool but it is orders of magnitude more useful than generic OBDII scanners. If anything happens to this code reader if I lose it or run over it I will buy it again.

Successful BCM access

Needed to communicate with a 2010 Volvo XC60 BCM to determine the cause of ABS Brake failure & City Safe failure warning lights. The VOL V4.0 returned specific wheel speed sensor & tone wheel failures. Also allows testing of ABS pump motor & solenoids.

Perfect Choice

Requested info from Customer Service on whether the V4.0 would solve my sun/moon roof problems They indicated it would...and they were 100% correct The dealer wants $175 to reset....and while the V4.0 was $229 I know the roof will go weird again...particularly if you disconnect the battery.... BTW...the V4.0 resolved the roof problem with 2 touches of the screen

Just arrived

Just arrived I have 2015 Volvo XC 60 / 2010 Volvo XC 70 /2011Saab 93 Aero Turbo 4 Convertible. Volvo dealer 3 hours away / Saab ? After reading manual and inspecting the scanner it should be a great asset to maintaining these vehicles

Good tool. I have two. Better thnan the alternative.

Good tool... learning curve is a bit steep but what isn't. Auto motor type ID lacking given the device IDs the VIN a look-up table should auto ID it but NO You've got to scrample to find the engine code stampted on the motor.. usually covered with grease. ... and punch it in. After that all is good.
