Black Diamond DIA-T12.2D 12" 2000W DVC 2-Ohm Car Audio Subwoofer

I have never had a system installed that made me think "this is too loud, I need to turn it down". Until now. I can't go past 3/4 volume while driving because my vision vibrates. Since fulfillment decided not to ship my battery isolator I'm only running one amp at 1000 watts, or 500 watts to each sub. I was going to bridge them down to one ohm and push 1000 watts to each once I hooked my aux battery and 2nd amp up but I think I'll stick with 650 watts at 2 ohms because I don't want to pay for the dental work when it shakes the fillings out of my teeth.They pound low frequencies better than any 12 I've ever owned, none of that "bass boost" clipping crap. The 60-100 hz range is crazy loud. I measured 131 db and I haven't even tuned my amp settings. And the knock, it's like getting hit in the back with a folding chair. OK, maybe that's a slight exaggeration. Maybe if it was a small child swinging the chair, and the chair was cushioned.One important note: the basket is slightly larger than your standard 12" sub. If you're buying a prefab box you'll want one that has cutouts at least 11.125". If the box is rhino-lined you'll have to sand it all out of the cutout or find something about 1/2" thick to use as a spacer. You can buy 12"x12" (1/2" thick) rubber sheets for about $15 each. If you want to fire into the box you'll have to mill them to about 11.25".Summed up, if you find these bad boys on sale again for less than $200 I recommend snatching them up, but they're worth the $250 price tag, all day. Hell, you can feed them 500 watts and alienate all your neighbors. 1000 watts each will no doubt make parts of your car fall off.

Have a hiphonics 3016 mono. Pushing this thing. Thing is great for the price I paid. Definitely recommend it.
