La Crosse Moon Phase Colour Weather Station Temp Forecast S84107

This is a nice little amateur home weather station by La Crosse. It has indoor & outdoor temp and humidity, day, date, time, moon phase. My favorite thing is the barometer. The station has a forecast feature that makes it's predictions based on the barometer readings. The only thing missing is a wind speed indicator or a wi-fi feature. I really wanted wind speed but just couldn't swing the $. I could care a less about the wi-fi part. I'm a dinosaur stuck in the 21rst century so life is complicated enough without mucking it up with wi-fi. The meter itself has a power adapter and the outdoor sending unit uses two AA batteries. A final nice feature is that La Crosse has several You Tube videos specific to La Crosse Weather Stations. IT works very well, and it is accurate. The display is very easy to read, even from several feet.

Item functions as described after replacing the outside sensor. Display is very easy to see and read from a good distance away.

Wonderful weather forecaster,thermometer. Very easy to see from across the room. Everyone should have one in their home !!

I really like this indoor weather station. I’ve had it a week and a half but so far all is well. I’ve had another similar from you and it’s larger but has no barometer reading, that’s what I got this one for. It seems a little low for this area. But I know you’ve said sometimes it takes awhile for it to regulate. The sensors are placed in different areas outside the house. The large one is under the patio in back and this new one is in front under the walkway protection. It’s intereting how temperatures vary from place to place around the house. Also from daytime to night. One may be higher during the day and then the other one higher at night. It’s onky a few degrees.

I bought this to replace an older basic (time & indoor/outdoor temperature) La Crosse weather station my parents had. They like the larger color screen and the extra features on this model.

Excellent weather station. It is a little sensitive on where it is placed. Angle of view is criyyical. For example if it is mounted on a wall where you have to look up at it the screen is about 85% deficient in color and contrast. The best mounting is at eye level or placed on top of piece of furniture about waist level. Really too bad about the viewing angle short comings - May be Lacrosse can improve on their next model? It is one of the only units that displays moon positions which comes in handy.

Nice unit. More square shaped than most units which are rectangular, and therefore takes up less space on the countertop. Gives me everything I need at a glance. Still not 100% sure the running barometric pressure reading is accurate but from other reviews I understand that the outside unit needs about 2 weeks or so to self-adjust to local conditions and give a more accurate reading. Being able to get a heat index reading is critical here in south Florida in the summertime. Recommended!
