Best buy ever

I researched numerous brands for my home NVR solution and finally settled on this option. For the value it's great. I bought the set plus 3 additional bullet cameras and so far it's been great. Would be nice to have the option for a second hard drive, but for the money, its a great starter system. I really wanted to go with Ubiquiti but would have 10 times the money. Only one small glitch so far and that was with the client for viewing on PC but would still buy again.

Im very happy with the performance of my system. It was straightforward to install if you have an understanding of network & hardware installation. My job came out looking like a professional installation.I used quality cat6 cables instead of the pre-made network cable in the box. All my cameras are installed under the second story eve and the 4.0mm fixed lens provided the perfect field of view for this installation. I can see where a 2.8mm lens would be better if you were trying to view a tight area or if your camera was on a first story eve close to the monitored area... but again for my application the 4.0mm lens is perfect.Once I was sure I was happy with the operation and the motion alerts (more on motion alerts in a sec) I added an additional 6tb surveillance spec seagate 3.5” hard drive via the external esata port. I also installed one additional rlc-820a camera (5 total) to cover the entire perimeter of my house. With 8tb total storage and 5 cameras I should now have approximately 3 weeks of storage space with 24/7 recording in 4K.The motion alerts have worked perfect for me. I had to tweak each camera individually, and I also set all the cameras to go to near max sensitivity at night with the sensitivity scheduling function. I have the cameras set to only alert for people which reduces the number of push notifications I get. Sorting through all the motion events is really simply because you can filter by all motion, just vehicles, just people, or any combination of the 3.I’m really happy I went this route instead of the wireless camera route. I feel like I have a more robust system with better performance and the big thing to me is NO SUBSCRIPTION FEES!

Best Reolink NVR system to date,I've installed a few, and with this update seems like the interface and settings have been refined for the best. Really impressed!Sooo much easier to relocate cameras to specific channels!Recommend this to all!

My first venture in security cameras was the Ring doorbell. Then I added Ring cameras around the exterior of my house. Was never satisfied with the video quality and the missed videos. I moved the exterior cameras to Reolink and am very pleased with the results. Having continuous record is awesome. The day time quality is great even with the digital zoom. I mean nothing compares to optical zoom but the digital zoom, though can get blocky while zooming is far greater than what I got with Ring. The night vision though is even better than I had hoped. With the ability to adjust the backlighting, I can clearly see areas that would only show as too dark to see anything on Ring. My only wish is that the standard NVR came with a larger hard drive. But that's not enough for me to knock a star off the rating as I can always upgrade later.

I have always used LTS/ Hiki but their software has so many issues. Reolink is so user friendly and easy to use, basically plug & play. I bought the 8MP (4k cameras) and they are amazingly clear. The NVR is small in size and easy to work with. I just bought one of their adjustable lens cameras with the zoom feature.Great job Reolink, five stars.

I use this product for security and surveillance around my home. These new cameras are very clear to the point where I can see car’s license plates and faces when their loitering on my front porch.The Reolink’s GUI(Graphical User Interface) software is easy and simple to set up. After setting up you’ll be able to see how simple it is to use each feature. Also what I like about the cameras is that you can adjust the sensitivity of the camera detections, you literally shade the areas you don’t want to detect, for example dogs, bugs, birds etc that do land on certain areas of your home will not be detected if you change the sensitivity of the detection to people only. Another feature is being able to zoom in and out each cameras so you can get a closer look in things.You can also have this linked up to your phone which in my opinion is more handy since I have my phone by my side often. The sensitivity detection can also email you when things/something lands on the area of detection. You can either set up the email as a picture of video, I generally have a video just in case.Still learning this product and so far I like the quality of the cameras and the features that come with the GUI/phone app. Easy to use 5/5.

Super easy to install, the app works really well and you can set and forget, you can run your own cat5e cable or use the supplied ones, just plug in and your good to go
