Smart WiFi Video Door Viewer Intercom

The DP1 from EZVIZ is a smart, wire-free door viewer intercom with motion detection, enabling you to see & speak to the person in front of your door. This WiFi Smart Door Viewer replaces the standard peephole on your door, so you can capture the video and talk to your visitors without any physical contact. The monitor has a 4.3" colour screen that provides a live view of what is happening outside your front door. The camera utilizes a 1/3 inch progressive scan CMOS sensor to capture 720P resolution video. Furthermore, its 2.2mm fixed lens has a 124° diagonal field of view. An LED IR lamp provides up to 10 feet of night vision which enables you to see what is happening at your front door when it is dark.

The monitor has an onboard memory card slot that supports microSD cards up to 128GB (microSD cards sold separately). It also has a built-in 4600mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. This allows you to pick it up and see who is at the front door from anywhere in your home.

When someone pushes the doorbell button, a built-in chime will sound on the monitor, alerting you so you can view whoever us on the other side of the door. A PIR sensor detects human activity within 8 feet of the doorbell. The two-way audio communication is possible, thanks to the built-in speakers & microphones on the monitor and camera units.

EZVIZ DP1: Needs a touchup

I finally got this in, and set up immediately. A couple things to note: 1. The display doesn't appear to be showing a 124 degree view. It looks off centre, and skewed to the right. The camera has been placed flatly against the door too, and hopefully this can be corrected via a firmware update. Otherwise, I may have a defective unit. (Also, I'd like to note that I didn't find anything on the display unit or within the app to adjust this). 2. Notifications aren't being sent. I only knew when I opened the app, and suddenly had 27 unread messages! 3. Significant delay when event is being captured. In fact, it ends up missing what triggered it in the first place. Also, I'm not sure if this is because of a window in front, but the surroundings are very dark. Yet, when someone walks in front and is standing at the window, it focuses rather well and adjusts great. 4. Not really an issue, but it would be nice to know what the battery life of the DP1 is within the app. 5. Within the app, the toggle switch to the doorbell will quickly show on, then off. I have it set to off. Also, this only happened once, but the IR light switch went to on, when I specifically set it to off. I haven't been able to replicate this problem. I do believe the DP1 does have potential if some of these kinks can be worked out. I have the Mini 360 Plus and it works amazingly. Hence the reason why I stuck with EZVIZ.
