Yes, it can.


Can the camera be controlled (start/stop recording, change settings, etc.) from the app?

Yes, you can control it from the app. The camera has built-in Wi-Fi, and you connect your phone to the VIRB's Wi-Fi network and can then control it from the app.


Does it have a mic input?

There is no input for a wired microphone, but it does support the use of a Bluetooth microphone.
