Passive bookshelf speakers with AMT tweeters and 6" aluminium woofers, for use with your own amplifier.

The Kanto TUK Grand Passive (2nd Gen) is a pair of passive bookshelf speakers with 28 x 35 mm Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeters and 6" (approx. 15 cm) Aircomb™ aluminium woofers. They have no built-in amplifier, so you will need an external amplifier or receiver that is compatible with 4-ohm speakers. Each speaker has a 1/4"-20 threaded hole in the base for stand mounting.

  • Woofer: 6" (approx. 15 cm) Aircomb™ aluminium woofer. Kanto states it reaches down to 40 Hz.
  • Tweeter: 28 x 35 mm Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter in each speaker.
  • Frequency Response: 40 Hz-22 kHz, as stated by Kanto.
  • Power Handling: 80 W RMS (160 W peak) per speaker.
  • External Amplification: Passive speakers with no built-in amplifier. An external amplifier or receiver is required (Kanto: compatible with 4-ohm speakers).
  • Stand Mounting: 1/4"-20 threaded hole in the base of each speaker.
  • Cabinet Size: Rear-ported cabinet, 21.8 x 29.5 x 35 cm (W x D x H) and 7.3 kg per speaker. A larger cabinet than the standard TUK Passive (18.4 x 25.4 x 30.5 cm per speaker), suited to a console or dedicated stands.
  • Finish: Supplied as a pair in Matte Black with Gunmetal accents.
