Shallow Mount

Shallow-mount subwoofers use a slim motor and basket, so they fit where a standard sub won't, such as behind a ute seat, under a seat or in a thin custom box. The range includes the Kenwood KFC-WPS1000F and KFC-WPS1200F slimline subs, Infinity Reference REF1000S and REF1200S, JBL Club WS1000, Rockford Fosgate Punch P3 and Prime R2, and Boss Audio Phantom and Diablo models.

Most come in 10 and 12 inch sizes, and some, like the Infinity Reference and JBL Club models, offer selectable impedance to suit different amplifiers. A shallow sub still needs a properly sized enclosure, so check the recommended box volume and mounting depth before you buy.
