Oval Coaxial
Oval coaxial speakers fit the larger rear-deck, door and factory openings found in many sedans, utes and older vehicles. This range includes 6x9", 6x8", 5x7" and 4x6" speakers, plus a 4x10", from JBL, Infinity, Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC, Hertz, DS18, Sony, Black Diamond, Rockford Fosgate and Boss Audio.
A 6x9" speaker's larger cone produces more bass than a round speaker of similar depth, making it a popular rear upgrade. Popular choices include the JBL Stage3 9637F, Kenwood KFC-PS6976, Pioneer TS-A6968S, Hertz Cento CX690 and the DS18 GEN-X range, along with a factory-fit Kenwood 5x7 and 6x8 models from JBL and Infinity. Check mounting depth before you buy, and consider surface-mount speakers for utes and vans.
