Amp Wiring

Amp wiring kits bundle the power, ground and signal cables you need to connect a car amplifier properly. You'll find kits from Aerpro Maxcor and Bassix, DNA, Stinger, DS18, Black Diamond, Boss Audio, SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Fusion and Nakamichi, from 8 gauge kits for smaller amps through 4 gauge to 0 gauge kits like the DS18 AMPKIT0 and Boss Audio KIT20.

Kits are labelled by gauge and channel count. A 2 or 4-channel kit includes RCA leads and speaker wire for that many channels, while power kits cover just the power side, which is handy if you already have signal cables. Thicker cable (a lower gauge number) carries more current, so size up for high-power amps or long runs from the battery to the boot.
