Dayton Audio DTA-1 Class-T Battery Powered Portable Amplifier

Amazing little amp! I've tested it with my $800 and $2,700 speakers. 1/3 of the volume is more than enough to drive them very loud, without any noticeable distortion (8 ohm). I also have a NAD D 3020. Dayton DTA-1 sounds very pleasing, especially for the price difference between NAD D 3020 and DTA-1. I don't expect the same amount of output power compared to NAD and that's not why I got DTA-1 in the first place. I'll leave "heavy lifting" to NAD, when needed.If you need a small and truly great sounding amp that is very inexpensive, small footprint, well built and great sounding, don't look any further than Dayton DTA-1.

Great way to use surround or bookshelf speakers you already have (or find elsewhere) with computer audio or other input. Simple and fills a need. I would fill my home with these.

This is third one that I've bought. The first one has been running great for two years 24/7 . I am using this one, and the 2nd one that I bought, for different systems . Thought I may have needed a replacement over time -- but it appears they run forever .

You get clean signal from this mini amp. True 15 watts. Have never had a problem and use this at least 4days a week. Simple good designed product! This eats through batteries though!

Havent had much time to play with this but the product works as intended. Not surprising that it doesnt go very loud.

Second unit I buy, great sound from a small amplifier at a reasonable price.Would be great if they redesign the battery holder to make it more user friendly and contacts wouldn't get damaged as easy.
