Elite Screens Evanesce 120" 16:9 In-Ceiling Flush Mount Projector

this thing is way nicer then i thought.. Looks amazing in my basement, screen is straight.. Only down side is.. be prepared for a project, took 7 hours with making custom brackets to get it to sit right. Besides that i love it!

 Great value and look. Wish projector had exact cut out template. I flipped projector over and drew pattern from the box it came in.. well worth price but witing in ceiling would require professional. Pretty heavy. Will need someone else to hold in place.

Amazon had a bit of trouble getting the right screen to me, but I generally try to not let that impact my product review. The first time I ordered, they sent a 140” vs my request 110”. The second time I ordered, I saw a deal on an open box screen, it worked for two days and then crapped out (I don’t recommend going open box on this item). Third time was the charm.I installed “below ceiling” which required me to install the anchor bolts into a 2x4. The provided hardware is great and works well. I drilled holes for the anchor bolts the exact size as the anchor bolts and then tapped them in with a hammer. I was concerned that I would mess up the threading but I did not. It is very difficult to line the holes up perfectly and then drill perfectly plumb holes. You need to be close but not perfect. Luckily there is some play in the drop down threaded connectors. The threaded connectors are about 3’ long. I only needed 18” so I cut mine with a powered metal hacksaw blade. Be careful with the cut because it is much easier to install if you can’t thread the nuts from both ends. Always use the factory cut end for connecting to the anchor bolts.The RF remote works great. The motor is super quiet. My photos don’t do it justice, but the picture is great (I’m sure that is some combination of screen/projector).I didn’t set up the IR bottom/face plate.When the screen is up it leaves a very sleek professional finish in the ceiling.If you are willing to do the install work, you can get a home theater for a relatively low cost.

I've sold and installed hundreds of screens, and this one is possibly the best value for the buck I ever encountered. It comes with everything you would ever need to mount it, both IR and RF remotes, the unit itself is of really good quality, perfect to mount in ceiling or on ceiling, super quiet operation... I highly recommend it.

Looks great and will be awesome once we finish remodeling.Someone people are complaining for the screen not rolling up completely. There is a screw to adjust it. Do a 1/2 turn and it is perfect.

I don't think I could have really stomached this unit at the full retail price, even with how good it is. That being said, I picked this up as an Amazon "returned stock" item for about half of full retail. It was received in perfect condition (outer box was damaged, inner box was just fine.The build quality of the casing is really good, and all the installation parts that come with it were top notch, though they could have used much better instructions. It takes a good deal of puzzling over what the heck they mean with some of the steps and the distinct lack of any decent pictures. In the end, I had to go watch a few Youtube installation videos to get an understanding how some of it was supposed to work out.I also decided to wall mount this unit (and plan to enclose it with a trimmed in soffit later); using angle iron and a ledger board firmly bolted to the wall.The screen itself hangs nice and flat, and is quiet enough considering that I don't have it yet enclosed in anything. The motor is definitely high quality, and the additional 12" drop on the top made it the perfect choice for our room that has 9' ceilings.Our projector is an older Optoma HD37, and when the blinds are shut and the room darkened, it looks great on this screen. We're seated about 10' away, and even in plain old HD resolution, the image is not noticeably pixelated and is reasonably bright.Definitely a good deal and a high quality unit.

We have been very happy with our motorized screen. The build quality is excellent, it came well packaged, and has really added to our home theatre room. We have it setup to drop and raise with projector powering on (works flawlessly). The motor whine is loud but not obnoxious. They included two sets of hardware to allow for flexibility of install. I’m happy we upgraded to the tab tension screen, due to the screens proximity to our heating register, it does it’s job and keeps the screen flat. My only critique would be for elite screens to include an Ethernet to 12v trigger (rather than making the consumer splice something together). Assuming the motor is reliable in the coming years, we plan on being being a repeat customers of elite screens.

Definitely elite. I would recommend getting a av technician to install for the best results.
