Works great so far! Everything is ez to set up.

Nice case with charging is a plus. No app needed makes it super quick. I have an Otterbein case and I didn't have to take it off to use this!!! I love it! I wish it came with another receiver tbh. For $100+ it's a little pricey but the quality is very nice.

Great wireless mic system!

Never owned a wireless lavalier mic before but I've always wanted one! I didn't realize how easy it would be to set this up as it's basically plug and play! The battery life is great and the sound quality isn't bad at all! The wind does get picked up a little bit but nothing that any other mic around this price couldn't fix either. Overall very easy, great build and sound quality

Perfect for Mobile Recordings

I have seen these types of portable lavalier microphones before, but have never had the chance to use them until now, and to be honest, I truly believe this is the future. Phones are becoming so ubiquitous nowadays, they are already(and will soon become even more so) the most important device in and of our daily lives. Especially the camera, which is now nearing professional quality. Many reporters and journalists are now capturing their videos - and audio - with their phones, so it's only natural there is a portable wireless lavalier microphone product such as this. The best part about advancement in technology is that these no longer require that bulky base/receiver portion that you have to wear on your waist. Maybe that's why these things are rather expensive, but so the mic goes on the subject, and the base/receiver goes straight into your phone. It couldn't be anymore easier and simpler than that. The audio is good. Maybe not the best like if you were holding a Sennheiser microphone to your mouth, but definitely better and richer than any phone or camera microphone. The price is the trickiest part for me, since it's at $150, and you can get a good dedicated microphone for from Sennheiser starting from $200, and I don't know how good of a brand Boya is yet. Personally, I think it is worth it as the set up is so simple, and so easy, and the execution is also easy and effective. If it ever drops in price to $100, I would wholeheartedly recommend it. At $150, it's probably not in the range of the everyday consumer, but for vloggers, YouTubers, etc., this is absolutely an excellent option.

Excellent product

Forget about cables! With this wireless microphone you can record outside even in windy environment. Also is extremely convenient.Pros:+built-in battery, there is no need to buy external batteries+the case works like a charger for the transmitter and receiver. The case itself can be charged via USB-C cable+I ordered the style UC which includes all that you need to connect to android devices (usb-c) and DSLRs and computers.+well-built and sturdy+great qualityCons:The clip is a little stiffer than I wish so I had a little of difficulties attaching to a thick shirt but this small inconvenience is not enough to remove one starIf you have Apple devices, you can order the “Di” model as that one includes the lighting connector.

Suoer recomendable

Excelente diseño y audio. Me sorprendió la calidad y la distancia. Aunque de inicio me costo trabajo sincronizarlo con mis dispositivos y no grabe audio aconsejo siempre hacer un audio de prueba para serciorarse que si grabe.

Excellent!

As a technically inept man entering his middle age I appreciate technology that's so simple a chimp could use it, and the first thing that jumped out at me when I unboxed the BOYA wireless lav mic is that ease of use is totally off the charts. For the past six months or so I've been using a wireless mic set up from Comica, their BoomX series, and while I really like the performance I'm not so impressed with the general user experience as the system is designed to work with everything from smartphones to DSLRs, with bags full of coiled cables to make the connections. Everything just feels a little busy. The BOYA system is also designed to work with smartphones and cameras, but it feels very much as if the designers have gone to great lengths to ensure that everything is as simple as possible. The receiver has a slot into which you fit your connector of choice - USB-C or one of two mic jacks that will fit most phones, tablets or cameras. There are no cables to worry about, it's just a simple slot in system. It's a simple thing, but it makes everything feel easier. The mic itself is similarly simple. There's no complex array of buttons or displays to check your levels. It's a simple mic around the size of a packet of Pez, and there's just a single button to power on, pair and mute. Pairing is a piece of cake, and once you have your receiver plugged into your device you're ready to rock and roll.BOYA promise a 66ft range, and after testing it a little I'd say that's accurate. The sound drops out if there's a thick wall between the transmitter and receiver, but if you stick to line of sight you can easily get a strong signal up to 66ft.The best thing about this simple, easy to use mic - and the feature that convinced me to award it 5 stars - is the charging case. It works exactly like the charger for a pair of airpods, recharging the moment the contacts on the TX and RX snap into place. There are slots in the case for all your connectors, so it's an all in one solution that can keep you going for around 50 hours between charges.Happy to recommend this. It's excellent.

Nice portable microphone kit

This portable smartphone microphone kit checks all the boxes I was looking for a smartphone mic setup. I especially love that it has a case that not only holds everything (with the exception of the dead cat), but it also keeps it charged up at the same time, so it's always ready to go.The sound quality is good, not great, but it's good enough and better than trying to use the built-in microphone on your phone when you're not close and in a controlled environment. The wireless transmission is strong and doesn't cut out unless you go too far away. I like that the clip allows me to vertically clip the microphone on to a standard T-shirt instead of sideways. I like that I don't need a big kit or wired lapel mics to get good audio on the go.

A powerful tool for mobile content creators

This little kit is really awesome for content creators, especially people who vlog on their iPhone. You get a wireless microphone built into the transmitter, and a receiver that has three different connectors that allows it to work with cameras(TRS), lightning port iDevices (iPhones and older/cheaper iPads), and anything with a headphone jack that is capable of receiving a microphone input through its 3.5mm headphone jack(TRRS).This uses a 2.4 Ghz wireless network, similar to wireless mouses and keyboards that have the little USB dongle you plug into your computer. This is superior to bluetooth because of latency and other issues. The whole kit comes in a charging case similar to wireless headphones, which can recharge the transmitter and receiver and then there is a storage space for the three adapters and for the wind muff attachment. The case itself charges over a USB C port, hurray for this. The quality of the microphone is solid, as good as a reasonably priced wired option. But I think it's important to remember that you are paying for convenience and ease of use over absolute best microphone quality. Using this is soooo much nicer than trying to plug in a long wired microphone into a dongle with that hanging out of your iPhone while trying to shoot a video or worse yet, do a livestream. The adapters stay attached to the RX half very well, so you don't need to worry about it falling off when you’re in the middle of recording a video. The batteries inside the TX and RX last between 3-5 hours of constant use, and the charging case can recharge both of them about five times.I really like this product, it is so much more elegant of a solution that the conventional wireless microphones that come with the big boxy attachments that look like police wires from a 1980s crime movie that you have to attach to your waist. This feels like a much more modern implementation, and it makes the price justified (in my opinion). I never had a problem with any of my recording tests, the transmitter and receiver stay in sync with each other and didn't turn off randomly or anything like that. Even if you aren't big on content creation, a product that makes it this easy could change your mind on the whole thing. Pairing this product with a modern iPhone, with how good those cameras are, you suddenly have the ability to produce high quality content, that is super easy to do (even for beginners).

Some features stopped working, some never worked

I'm dissatisfied with this microphone.1) I purchased the mic to combine my voice with sound from a game capture card through OBS software for livestreaming. I learned that if the microphone and the game capture card share a USB bus, then the voice from the microphone will sound bubbly/gurgly and be unintelligible. The same occurred when I connected the mic directly to my computer using Bluetooth (which seems to be how the mic connects to its hardware receiver). I actually upgraded my laptop to a $1500 gaming computer to overcome this issue. It worked...for a while. If YOUR computer isn't particularly smashing in quality, this microphone may not work for you, either.2) The mic arrived 76 days ago (this is past Amazon's return window), and as mentioned previously, I could not use it until I upgraded my computer. My new computer arrived September 2nd. Yesterday was September 20th and the microphone has stopped working. The charger case shows a full charge, and when the microphone is put into the case, the case will indicate that the microphone is charging by flashing the charging indicator light 45 times (45 seconds). It then stops flashing and all of the lights remain dark. Hours later, when the case is opened, the microphone's indicator light rapidly flashes red indicating that the microphone needs to be charged. Let it remain in the charging case, the same result. It did show blue (charged) after several hours one time, but the charge lasted less than 15 minutes.3) I purchased this device specifically because I wanted to use the 3.5 mm microphone port on my computer. My computer's 3.5 mm port definitely is a microphone port, but I was never able to get the device to work using either the 3 pole or the 4 pole 3.5 mm connectors. I have only been using the 3 USB-C connector, which is not ideal. Conclusion: 1) Ask yourself what you will do if your computer doesn't play well with the microphone. Will you spend $1000+ to upgrade your computer hardware? 2) Is less than 3 weeks of life enough to justify the cost of this microphone? It has a 1 year warranty and I will be contacting the manufacturer with the expectation that I will receive a replacement microphone. 3) With the replacement microphone, I will once again attempt to use the 3.5 mm jack and will update this review.
