The Magewell Ultra Stream HDMI is a versatile streaming encoder designed for HDMI input. It has the capability to encode streams up to 1080p at 60 fps, making it suitable for popular content delivery networks (CDNs) like YouTube Live, Facebook Live, and Twitch, as well as custom RTMP servers. Additionally, it offers the convenience of simultaneous recording to a mobile device or a USB drive connected to the front panel USB 2.0 port. To control the device, users can utilize the mobile app available for both iOS and Android devices. The encoder itself features easy-to-use push-button controls for starting and stopping streaming and recording.

The HDMI input of the Ultra Stream HDMI supports UHD and DCI 4K signals up to 60 fps, eliminating the need for additional hardware when streaming from PCs or game consoles that support 4K output. The HDMI loop output allows users to view the original input signal at its full resolution without any alterations. Internally, the encoder automatically downscales the signal as needed for streaming and recording purposes. For live audio inclusion in streams and recordings, the device offers a 3.5mm input jack for connecting a microphone, while the other 3.5mm jack allows for headphone monitoring.
