Philips GC6804 PerfectCare Essential Steam Generator Iron

This is a whole new experience to ironing that I have had. Lots of steam, less heat from the iron plate, perfect ironing experience. Thoroughly recommend ironing in this way. Once you have experienced it you will never go back.

Easy to use, don't need to set the temperature, gets rid of wrinkles with minimal effort

I would have bought one years before if I'd known how much quicker and easier my ironing would be! Not having to adjust the temperature for different fabrics is great. It is light to handle and does a better job than any iron I've had before. I've seen a couple of reviewers upset that it cannot be placed upright on the ironing board as other irons do - but this is because it can (unbelievable !) be just placed plate down on the board while you rearrange the garment. It stops steaming and doesn't burn the ironing board! (so no need to replace it on the base). It doesn't take long at all to get the hang of just holding in the steam button for each stroke across the garment.

I like the fact the item arrived in a timely manner. I also like the product is more compact than others I have had and for its size and price it is good value.

All round a great product - light smooth and temp choice isn't a factor. Does need a bit more space in the linen closet. Best price by far on Amazon.

Nice smaller unit than the larger one we had although I find I have the be wary of trigger function to get a steady stream of steam

I bought the iron for my daughter-in-law for Christmas so am unable to rate the product at this stage.

Works well so far. Too early to state its performance long term
