Really good strap however it does not last forever.

I have had several replacement straps because of the same issue. I start to get dropouts in Data. One minute everything on your ride is going great the next you look down at your Garmin and your heart rate is 50bpms while doing 22mph now we all know that's impossible. I have had to order this 5 times in the last 6 years meaning they get less than a years use before they fail. Given the fact that my Garmin edge 1000 is not the problem I equate this to poor MFG processes. For something Garmin calls premium it sure has a premium price but not premium longevity.

Garmin heart strap

This is the 4th Garmin stra p i have bought in 3 years, this one looks like it is an improvement,time will tell.This strap is good value for money compared to others i have bought.Lots of complaints from Garmin strap users on the internet, Garmin needs to get it's acttogether.I will be interested to see how this one performs after 6 months use.

Accurate readings again for my Edge 520

I bought this to replace the strap that came with my Garmin Edge 520 in 2016. The original strap starting giving wildly inaccurate readings after about three years, showing 200 bpm while resting or 90 bpm during hard climbs and all points in between. After doing a little googling it looks like these straps only last a couple of years even with proper care. For the price I wish they lasted longer but at least Garmin hasn't changed the form factor on us (yet).
