Great receiver
After my Pioneer Elite took a power surge it was time to get a new receiver. The Denon 4800 fit all my needs and powers my 5.2.4 system nicely. I like that it has multiple sub inputs with separate controls and works good with my LG oled G4.

The Denon Avr-x4800h receiver
The Denon avr-x4800h was an excellent buy.. The setup instructions were second to none! The main zone integrated with out Sony Bravia7ii in flawless manor. Using a Zone 2 setup for the outdoor porch again worked well when setup to play Spotify music. This integration was amazing. An excellent addition toour sound system.

I have bought Denon speakers and AVRs for 40 years now. The X4800H was an excellent replacement for my older Denon AVR. Setup was easy. The 125 watts per channel is great, I had 140 watts before, really can't tell the difference. Very pleased with my new Denon AVR.

Great Receiver
Bad microphone", "I bought this because I was replacing my receiver that was the same model but 6 years old. I thought it was a great receiver right up until it quit working although I had not used it much in the past year and a couple of months ago I couldn't get the arc cable to communicate with the tv. I called Crutchfield's service and they worked with me along with Denen service and they determined that it was an internal problem and needed to be sent in. I decided that it might cost as much as a new less expensive replacement. So I started looking around and for me I kept coming back to the Denon. It has a few upgrades from my old one and I bought it originally because it could handle my M&K speakers. I did have a scare when I started setting it up. It recognized all of my speakers but when I plugged in the microphone that came with it, it would only recognize one speaker. I'm thinking that I might have to send it back. But I still had my microphone from the old one. So I found it and plugged it in and it worked. So the mic that came with it was bad. Every thing else went smoothly and it sounded great.

I had to replace my 12 year old Onkyo TX-NR1010. I have a 7.1 Klipsch speaker layout. There is a night and day difference between the two. The Denon provides true 7.1 output! I am able to more clearly hear all of my speakers when playing music and movies, and get the true 7.1 surround sound. I love it! Dialogue is so much clearer when watching movies as well! We no longer need ti turn on captions!I'm probably going to add 2 more Klipsch speakers, mounted in my ceiling to get front height capability and configure it for 9.1, which you can also do with this Denon amp.

Fantastic Receiver
Great receiver. I highly recommend getting a calibration disk ON TOP of using Auddissey or Direc . I used the Spatial Audio calibration kit blu ray disk and it improved the sound ten fold.
