The camera can film both the front and backwards with excellent quality. The user interface was super easy to use. I definitely recommend buying it!

I have an 81 year old father and even though his car is a tank (Towncar,) I want to make sure he has every safety and security measure possible. I had purchased a couple of dash cams in the past, but they were cheap and I decided they weren’t worth the time and hassle of installation. There was a good coupon on this product, so I decided to splurge a bit.My initial comment is that if you are clever installation can be even easier than you can imagine. My father was pretty adamant about not touching anything with the car related to externals, so I mounted the cam onto the rear (I included an image of the start of the process) and then ran the wires all along the perimeter and in between seats until getting to the power. I used a very thin layer of duct tape to secure it all along and it is as good as glued.It took a few minutes with documentation to learn how to navigate the different settings to the display, less time than I’d thought, and then I went over things with my father. He wanted the camera placed where it was because it offered him a wide view. You can easily see the foreground behind you with the rear glass install, which is important for him as he’s anxious about reaction time and being really safe backing up in our largely residential suburban area that sees a lot of kids get into streets. The build quality of the item is great too. I dropped both the display and camera multiple times in the install and they are both still perfect. The rear cam is built like a small rock.In the couple of weeks we’ve had this installed I can see my father more confident and less anxious behind the wheel. I think this is easily worth the nominal price increase versus a few of the comparable products for the sturdy camera and great display. I can only imagine how much better it would be if I were allowed to rig this up better.This is also still a fraction of the cost of systems you can get as upgrades on car models that were a few years old (I recall the upgrade on my sister’s lease for a model with a backup system to be cost more than this after just about 4 months of added fees, and it’s a bit less functional than this.)For my specific family needs, all I can say is that this is an item I’m glad I invested in and I know everyone in my family feels the same way. If you have a senior still driving, strongly consider this camera system, please.

 This is my third Apeman dash cam! I bought it to replace my first one which was just a single dash cam. Recently my dad was rear-ended but the other car took off before he could get the license plate. With just a single dash cam in the front, he was not able to record the other car at all or the license plate. After that incident, I decided to replace my old single cam with a dual cam so I could capture video in the front and back of the car. With regards to this model, I like that it is touch screen so it is much easier to change the settings like switching from video to photo or vice versa. The videos are really good and I included a short video in this review. Although I used 1080P resolution, you can select the video resolution between 720, 1080 or 4K but if using the dual cam then only 1080P. I also included a photo and you can choose between 12M, 8M, 5M or 2M so pretty good quality photo. The package does come with the necessary cables for the front and rear cams and it is pretty long so will reach even for a SUV. It also comes with a USB cable so you can connect it to your computer to watch the videos and the photos. You will need to get a micro SD memory card for the camera but those are really cheap nowadays and you can get them anywhere. I just used the micro SD card from my old dash cam since I was no longer going to use it. I did set it to 3 min loop recording with G sensor which means it keep recording 3 min worth of video and when it runs out of space on the memory card, it will overwrite the oldest video. Also with the G sensor, if it senses a collision/impact, it will lock the video so it cannot be overwritten. If you are looking for a dash cam, I would recommend the dual cam with the touch screen!

Higher memory card capacity: Higher memory support gives chances of having many videos of past records. Most dash cams can record continuously, and they are limited by the amount of space they have to save files. This is why most cameras only save a video when directed or when the G-sensor detects a crash. To save more video, you will need a dashcam with more memory. Memory cards like MicroSD cards are perfect for holding long recordings at a typical 1080p video resolution. This camera supports 128GB sd card. This way i can have video recorded for a month driving, in case if I need it.4. Multifunction dashcam: Camera is very important in a dashcam, which gives a clear video and views. I found this camera is a very clear and high-resolution camera. The most important feature on a dashcam is the camera itself. The lens and sensor combination will largely determine the viewing angle and recording quality of the device. It's important to find a high-quality lens free of blemishes and defects so you can get a clear image. Wide-angle lenses are more preferable for quality video since they capture more of what is in front of them. A multifunctional dash cam, it's helpful to have other useful features built into the device. Some of these features include things like GPS navigation, backup monitoring capabilities, and more.

Easy set up, great features, great video quality! Had to contact customer service to get the GPS updated but they responded fast. Very happy with this purchase! Deff worth getting a quality dashcam. Had a cheaper one before and it actually deleted the video of an accident I was in causing insurance to take alot longer to get my car fixed. Deff go with APEMAN!

 This is the fourth Apeman dash cam I purchased. I started trying out their products when the brand first come out and has been a loyal customer ever since. They offer great camera for the price with no major issues. My previous $40 dash cam was still recording even after someone ran a red light and smashed into my front bumper, shattering my front windshield. After that incident, I got everyone in my family an Apeman dash cam because I can vouch for their reliability.Now let's go over what you get for this 4K dash cam.DESIGN:This cam is inconspicuous. It fits the windshield angle perfectly and doesn't look out of place. The OLED touch screen is stunning. The less expensive cams are button only and it can be frustrating trying to navigate through the menus with only a few buttons. Not with this one. The user interface is friendly and easy to navigate, options are laid out one by one so you can cycle through them quickly. Touch is very responsive and I never find myself having to click twice to do what I want to do.RECORDING:The 4K video quality is crisp. I went for a drive to get some footage and I could see everything when viewing from my monitor. The cam has WDR so it helps a lot in driving at night. I don't have any problem reading the numbers even with the license plates lights very bright. The lens is also ultra wide angle so it records the whole scene in both the front and the back. The only drawback using both cams is that I can only record 1080p in the front and not 4K. Not really a big deal because the videos are high quality.FEATURES:This cam comes with absolutely every feature I can think of.Parking mode? Check.G-Sensor? Check.Motion detection? Check.Wifi? Double check.Built in GPS? I didn't even know this was an option in dash cam now. Triple Check!The only thing this cam doesn't have is the ability to connect to Alexa so I can do everything else while I'm driving. With this impressive list of features, you'll be hard pressed to find another cam that offer everything here for a similar price.
