Garmin Drive 61 LM GPS Navigation System 6" Touch Screen 010-01679-41

I found this product did what was expected

I've had a number of different branded GPS's in my time but always seem to come back to the Garmin. Simply put Garmin is the market leader in this tech. I've owned Navman & Tom Tom (because they were cheaper) but buying the Garmin was like coming back home! Superior to the others in just about every regard. The others have ended up in the bin!

Very happy with al the amazing functions especially with all the warnings as speed, cameras and traffic conditions :)

This new Garmin "Drive 61LMT-S 6.1" was to replace my faulty Nuvi 2460 GPS so comparing the new with the old these are my comments. Pros.... It is far better when it comes to directions on the road than my previous 2460. The larger 6.1" screen is easier to read. Good value for money. Cons.... The touch screen is prone to show finger marks. Quite difficult to remove and re fit the GPS to and from the supplied dashboard bracket. The power cable plugs into the back of the GPS and not into the mounting bracket like my previous 2460. I am using the optional Garmin power cable with the traffic receiver fitted, but unfortunately after weeks of driving through dense inner city and bumper to bumper traffic, Ive yet to receive or hear any traffic reports even though I have been in heavy traffic snarls often. Shame there is no mobile phone bluetooth in this model. Overall its a good GPS for the money and works well apart from the traffic reports.
