I do professional CCTV work. And this is by far one of the best values for low end Cameras. Both the company’s Reolink, and Amcrest have great options for home uses and light business uses.I have had some of these cameras lasting 5+ years now. These cameras are so much better than the ones you can buy in any store locally such as a Lorex System or Swann System at say Walmart or Costco.The only advice I really would love you guys to follow in installing this is use your own wire use good wire. The wire that comes in the kit is cheap wire and more than not that’s the reason why the camera fails. Run good wire it’s cheap and you can run as as far as you want as long as you don’t exceed 300 feet.

The 8CH NVR with people/vehicle smart cameras operate properly and my client wanted motion notification and that worked seamlessly. The picture quality day or night is great.

So. I have them set up in my house to do a test run. So far so good. Will be installing them outside very soon. Very easy set up. Running the cat5 may be a bit more challenging but we’ll see.

I bought this system to supplement an existing Nest setup. I now wish that I had skipped the Nest stage altogether. The Reolink system is cheaper and better than Nest in almost every way. The cameras cost much less upfront and there are no cloud fees or other recurring charges because storage is local on the supplied video recorder. Reolink local access is just as easy as Nest cloud. I have the series 510 cameras with smart motion detection. The system is good but not perfect at distinguishing people from other moving objects. Using the 16x fast forward, I can scan a day’s hits in a few minutes.The cameras have outstanding resolution both day and night, far superior to Nest’s outdoor cam. The angle of view, about 80 degrees, works much better for me in practice than super-wides like Nest (130 degrees), because objects in the middle distance appear much larger and are easier to identify.Installation was straightforward. The app for iPhone and iPad installed without difficulty and works well. I was not able to get the Mac laptop app to work properly.Stringing the Ethernet cables was the one time-consuming part. I used high-grade outdoor-rated cat6 cables instead of the generic cables that came with the system. The supplied cables (no labels or specs) tested out fine, but I have no way of knowing how long they would last outdoors.All in all, a great system at a good price.

They are good quality and easy to install and use the app. We have been happy with this purchase the price was great for this quality.

Easy to install and use. Wire provided is long enough to reach most houses perimeter. Running through attic is the best way to go about it . Setting it up on phone was simple and connection online was simple as well . Solid choice for price
