Hertz DSK165.3 Dieci 6.5" 2-Way 80W RMS Component Split Speakers

Sound amazing like always hertz is the best sounding car audio equipment I've ever used but they definitely need to have an amp behind them to be a full potential

Installed these in a 2001 Toyota RAV4 and they sound great. Easy to install and no amp is connected but very impressed with the sound quality. Great Bass, Mids and High ranges.

I swapped out my factory speakers in my '18 Silverado with all Hertz Dieci and running off of the factory head unit. They sound amazing, big difference. Clear and crisp for any type of music. I have a JL Audio 12" sub complementing them. These speakers are perfect if all you want to do is swap speakers without adding an amp. They will sound louder than factory speakers just because the vocals are clearer.

Purchased these recently for my work van, a 2018 Dodge Promaster City. This van has 4" woofers in the door from the factory but with some home made 1.5" wooden mounting rings the 6.5" woofers fit fine. Also the van has factory tweeters in the A-pillars. The Hertz tweeters fit with a little customization. I had to separate the plastic layers of the factory tweeter mount and enlarge the mounting hole with a hole saw, then reassemble and hot-glue the mounting pieces back together.I was looking for some budget HiFi components to use in my work van. These seemed to be just right based on the specs, reviews, and price. I've previously used Polk components in my last work van and a/d/s components in my last car. My original plan was to run these off the factory head unit for a while until I had time to upgrade the head unit and add an amplifier and sub. Well I went ahead and did most of the upgrades at once. I currently am still using the factory head unit with a line out converter, feeding a JL Audio 300/2 v1 which is sending 150 watts per channel rms to these components. I realize this is more rms power than these are rated for but I am careful not to overdrive them. So far I am very impressed with them. For a $100 component set, they are awesome. Obviously Hertz has higher end lines than this but for my work van I tend to go more of a budget route. The only reason the JL amp is in there is it was left over from my last system in the car I sold.I only really have 3 complaints about them, however my complaints do not affect my rating as both were things I knew about before buying them and are to be expected at this price point. One is that the tweeters are not as soft as I usually prefer. I typically go for silk dome tweeters. These Hertz tweeters are very clean and detailed though. The other is that the crossovers are basically just high pass for the tweeter. The woofer does not get any filtering at all, just a full range signal that naturally rolls off, which is fine. Lastly, the wires that come pre-attached to the crossovers and tweeter are very very thin, probably 18 gauge at best. I would have preferred 16 gauge attached to the tweeters and screw terminals on the crossovers but I suppose that at this price point more of the money went to the drivers themselves. Accompanying these components in my van is an 8" Image Dynamics sub in a sealed box under the driver's seat being driven by a Polk 4 channel amp running bridged with 150 watts rms going to each voice coil. This along with some deadening material on the doors, Fast Rings foam baffles around the woofers to couple them to the door panel, has given me a very decent sounding system that will play loud and clean. Just what I was looking for. And since the amps and the sub were left over from a previous install, my investment in this system is probably only about $200 in new items and materials.I would definitely recommend these Hertz components to anyone looking for a decent sounding budget set of speakers. I will also probably consider their higher end lines on my next system in my personal vehicle when I am ready.

All that I can really say is wow.... I was a little worried these wouldn't live up to the name. But for 100 buck your getting some great speakers. These sound better vs jbl GTO and infinity kappas....to my surprise.When I opened the box....I was very concerned. Not much weight to them. Smallish magnets. Which I'm guessing is due to them using neo vs ferrite magnets. The tweeters are tiny....the stock ones weighed literally 3 times more.I installed 2 sets into a 2018 vw golf sportwagen S 4motion. Didn't come with the fender system. After reading great reviews. It was still hard to press that buy button. I'd never heard them before and I didn't know if I should get the ESK's instead. Well running these off of the stock head unit(not external amp), they sound...great! I do not regret my purchase one bit. Playing these in my car vs my friends that has infinity kappas with an amp...my friend and I both agree these sound better(he's going to be buying some ESK's now). I'm really excited to run an amp to these.As far as running these ampless. You will have no issues... At all.For 6.5" speakers. The midbass is good....really good. Enough to satisfy most people. The clarity, warmth and depth is just plain excellent.Do note that I only have the tweeters hooked up to the crossovers.If I had one complaint. It would be the crossovers. They are prewired with...20-22g(?)Wires...your not going to get much power to the woofer through the crossovers. Im sad to say that the cars stock wires are larger....MUCH larger. When I amp these. I'm going to just run the woofers off the amp and the tweets off of the head units power and use the amps cross.As of right now, running the woofers full range and only using the crossovers on the tweeters. They sound excellent. So that would be my recommendation.I highly....HIGHLY recommend these speakers from people doing a simple stock speaker swap. They flat out sound great.For my VW golf peeps. The holes line up perfect to the rivet holes. Use screws a tiny bit smaller then a 1/4 inch for the install. You do not need spacers for these. You can just pop the in and enjoy. I bought some VW harness things for the install so I didn't need to cut into the woofers wiring. Worked great. If you don't do that...you will need to purchase some 16g wiring for your install. There's not enough in the door. You will need some type of foam for the inside of the door where the cup holder is. It's flush against the metal in the door. When the bass hits, It rattles. Some cheap 1/2 window/door foam from Walmart will work fine. I had some closed cell foam on hand and used that.I'm really curious now, how the ESK and HSK models sound. Because these are great.

Perfect fit in my 2008 Jeep Wrangler. Tweeters fit in the pods with a few modifications to the pods. The speakers fit perfect in the dash pods. Sound amazing. Better than the Kicker upgrades.

Amazing sound. Defenitly recomend to EVERYONE.
