Philips SH50 Replacement Shaving heads for Series 5000

My Philips AT887/16 shaver had 15 blades/cutter, whereas this replacement has only 9 blades, and my original had thin diagonal slots all around the top foil, but the design has now changed, with two locking spurs on the foils, to stop them from rotating. But I don't know how, but this gives a good shave!

My husband has used Phillips shavers all his life, you don't realise the shaver heads need replacing until you put in new ones

According to he that uses these, they have returned his shaver to "like new".'Nuff said?I suppose that like any blade they will dull with time, so I can understand how replacing the blades would have such a positive effect. And who cares if the packet they come in isn't perfect (there was absolutely nothing wrong with the packaging that I could see) because it's what's inside that matters & the packaging gets discarded.

These Philips replacement blades were as good as the original excellent. Rob.

This grey market import provides a reasonable compromise between the extortionately-expensive official Phillips supplies and the questionable quality of generic blades. Fitted my shaver perfectly and worked straight away, although became more comfortable after a few uses. Overall, well worth a try rather than the expense and waste of buying a whole new shaver.

Improvement on originals!The replacements were average price and the box was displayed as Philips. The heads were affixed to plain brown card. I cannot guarantee that they are authentic Philips, hence 4* only.Pleased with crisp shave.

These are no better than the ones they are replacing and I am having to use the old foils because the new ones were causing the blades to pull the hairs instead of cutting them. I would question if they are genuine as they were only packed in a poly bag

Purchased new blades after 12months from buying shaver. Believed buying branded name would give me the Quality. How wrong I was, the Blades are no way near as good as the originals, so your shave is not as good. Very disappointed.

Replaced my old cutters with a set of these and had to change them back a after a few days. Not only were they ineffective, but they cut my skin. As soon as a changed back to my old blades, you could tell the difference right away. These are just not genuine, and they're not even very good knock offs.
