Thieye CarView 3 Mirror Dash Cam 2.5K 1440P 32GB 10" IPS Touch Screen

After getting into a couple car accidents and the other drivers denied fault after they left the scene, I was determined that getting a dash cam is a necessity to protect myself against future litigations/insurance claims. I had been looking for a dash cam for a while and decided to go with the ThiEye Mirror Dash Cam and Backup Camera and I can say that I had definitely made the right choice. This dash cam and backup camera delivers great picture quality, wide viewing angles, and clear visibility in low-light settings. The touch screen mirror offers the feature of displaying footages from both cameras, one camera, or it can simply be used as a rear view mirror. My anxiety in driving have been hugely reduced since installing the cameras.

I love how easy it was to install and how clear the picture is and the touch response is very smooth and responsive.

Must have dash camera. Thieye dash camera mirror with rear camera is perfect for anyone wanting to record their driving adventures on the road. Easy to install. The dash camera mirror mounts over your existing factory mirror. The rear camera can be mounted on the rear window or outside the vehicle on your license plate. The front camera video (mirror) is 2.5K resolution and the rear camera is 1080p. The dash camera touch sensitivity is similar to a tablet. Very responsive. Software in unit is very easy to use. Don't think about it, just buy it. Very clean install. One less item mounted on your windshield. Thieye provides everything you need for the install including a 32gb memory card. This unit has loop recording which means when the memory card gets full, the unit will automatically delete the oldest video saved on your card. The camera came to quickly and the installment was a little difficult at first, but after i read up on the wiring on my vehicle reverse light, then it was easy to install.

Been in market for a standalone forward facing dash camera. Came with sd card and all the length wires for the backup camera. Quality is impressive. Issue is the additional weight keeps making the original vehicle rear view tilt down, not fault of product just going to have to figure out. Lots of settings somewhat complicated but wait tapped into cig lighter and very good resolution day or night. Worth price, the camera is small and discreet

Got this for a birthday gift. Pretty neat!!!!!!!! The install was super easy on my 2010 Camry XLE. I ran the power chord up above the windshield trim, down the left trim, across the distant dash (tucked under the trim below the windshield) and dropped through the vent, behind the head unit and exited right by the car lighter plug. Looks clean. I ran the rear camera cord near the edge of the headliner, down the right trim, tucked under the passenger door plate, behind the passenger rear foot plate, an up the right rear window. I used little sticky Velcro dots and super glued to the plate of the rear view camera and simply Velcro to the edge of the headliner by the left back window. I kept the car on and watched the review display to get the angle right. So far looks great!Liking it so far! Neat and cheap upgrade to your car if you asked me.Cons: should make the rear view camera chord 18ft to give people enough room to run and tuck it.Suggestions: Should also consider Bluetooth connection or SIM card capabilities to allow notifications to your phone.

Very simple to install and love the features. Been using it for a week now and i have adjusted with the dual screen mode already.

The pros:Easy install great functions.I mounded the camera on the Jeep 3rd brake light and I had to extend the red wire to reach the reverse light (White grey stripe) wire which was easy enough to do. The power and video cables both had plenty of length for my application. I was able to run the video cable through the tailgate wiring harness to the passenger side, under the panels, carpet, up through the front pillar, and drop down at the rearview mirror. I used my center console plug for the power and ran it in a similar way right to the rearview mirror as well. It's a clean looking installation and the operation and features have exceeded my expectations.Some cons: How it mounts to the existing mirror with rubber straps where even when they are tight it is not a rigid installation. While the way it's mounted is easy and functional with my big mud tires it creates some extra vibration when I'm using the mirror in the regular non-video/off configuration. If I use the video rearview mirror feature objects in the mirror are closer than they appear. It's not necessarily a con and I understand just like the passenger side view mirror the perspective of objects being farther away is to allow a wider field of view. So when using the video rearview feature it takes some getting use to compared to the regular mirror. The blindspot perspective is different and it's always good to check blind spot by turning your head regardless of the mirror perspectives.Overall I like the product and would recommend it.

...will love this product even more when I can hard wire it to my reverse light. Will post an updated review once that is done and with some video!
